About the Venue

The Conference Center of the Alsos Egaleo Campus constitutes a modern multi-purpose space. It has been built on the site of the old central amphitheater and is located in the central building K1 of the central facilities. The Conference Center includes the main hall of 455 sq.m. and 344 seats, specially designed respectively to the accessibility guidelines. The main stage of the Conference Center is 55 sq.m. including infrastructure for the realization of different types of events (e.g. conferences, workshops, theatrical performances, musical events, etc.).

Moreover, the comfortable and highly aesthetic reception area of the Conference Center including an available space of 170 sq.m., can be used for multiple services (e.g. secretarial support for conferences, seminars, and symposia, as an information, registration, and reception area conferences, catering, etc.). Access to the Conference Center is from the main gate (Agios Spyridonos St.), but also from the west gate (Dimitsanis) of the University.

The Pericles Lytras Amphitheatre offers to conference organizers:

  • A capacity of 344 comfortable ergonomic seats with a spacious stage for conferences as well as artistic events, as well as comfortable auxiliary areas on both sides of the stage with theatrical dressing rooms
  • Professional cinematic projector 10000 ANSI lumens high definition, covering even the most demanding display conditions
  • Professional 250 inch electrically retractable projection screen
  • Modern cinema specification DSP 5.1 audio system, suitable for covering cinema screenings and live music events, as well as a professional 24-channel sound console
  • Capability for a translation booth, as well as an automatic translation system with the capacity of a wireless translation listening system for 20 people at the same time
  • High fidelity wireless and wired conference microphone setup
  • Wired Internet to support the events, but also wireless coverage for members of the University and the academic community, which can also be public in the event space, if requested
  • Capability to record and rebroadcast events via the internet (web casting / live streaming)
  • Convenient and easy-to-use access for people with mobility problems
